Well, bad news. On Thursday, I twisted my knee in class and ended up tearing my meniscus. It's not a bad tear(thank you god) but I went to a bone and joint specialist and he suggested to stay off of it for about 4 weeks. The problem is.....well I'm supposed to compete in china and I'm leaving tonight. So instead of competing, I will just watch the competition and be there for a vacation mostly. I will probably earn even more experience there now that I'm going to see all the dancers that made it into this competition. I might try taking an easy class there but it'll depend on how my knee feels. Yesterday I had ultrasound as well as a nice treatment(including tape, biofreeze, and ice). I'm going to do that again today before I go on the airplane(for 15 hours!). Well, at least this gives me a chance to take a BUNCH of pictures(since I never have time to during most competitions I go to) I hope it'll heal fast so I can dance really soon!

I'm back from WBC!!! I was in the pre-professional category this year, so I was the youngest in the group. I still got 2nd place in the girls though!!! But gold wasnt awarded to girls this year so I got bronze again and a $750 cash prize. I also got 2 scholarships! One was for a full year at Pittsburg Ballet Theater. The other is a summer intensive scholarship to Festival Ballet Providence, with potential for trainee. I can't do that intensive though because this summer I will be going to Orlando Ballet School since I got a scholarship for it last year. I guess that is just about it!!! Before Orlando I performed in my studios spring performance and the next day left to compete at WBC. I just got back to my home in Phoenix today but I won't be staying here for long!! On Saturday I will be leaving again to compete in china! Then the day after I come back(I will be there for two weeks) I'm going to be in Orlando again for summer intensive. Well, that is my summary of the most important things that happened since I last posted!!(: hopefully I will buy pictures and videos from WBC soon to share!(:

So this past week, I was in Berlin. I competed there and took workshops, but it was also such a great expierance for me to see all kinds of dances and the different cultures performing them. I had so much fun! I didn't win anything, but I'm glad I went.

Long time no posts?

Well, no, I haven't quite forgotten about writing posts, but I have been busy!

I finished the Nutcracker performances at the Orpheum Theatre with sucess(for the most part)

Hope everyone had a very good holiday whether Hannakuh, Christmas, Kuanza(mispelled?)and/or any other holiday you celebrate(: Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2012 is here and this year will be busy as ever!

I'll be going back to YAGP, and WBC. I am also going to Germany this year in February to compete. I'm really excited! My variations this year are Kitri, Harlequinade, Coppelia, and a contemporary piece, Incredible Love choreographed by Marty Naugle.

Hopefully this year I will update just a bit more?
